Developer Everguild has announced its latest project, a Warhammer 40,000-based digital trading card game called Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge. All this information, along with other Warhammer games, was revealed during our stream of the Warhammer Skulls 2022 event held right here on Pocket Gamer!

Warpforge wants to give the Warhammer franchise a Hearthstone-like treat by offering fans of the series a free collectible card game created in the 41st millennium. This means players can expect to connect entire factions of that era to a card format that will allow you to build your deck using mash ups of space navy heads, orcs, necrons and more.

Very similar to The Hearthstone, or more recently running The Legends of Runeterra, you can expect a lot of recognition interaction among Famous hero cards and a generally very high production budget, which means lots of beautiful graphics and attention to detail for each card. Combine that with an exciting variety of game modes and a deep love of the general world, and this is potentially one of Warhammer’s greatest releases.

Those familiar with Everguild may remember that he created and directed Horus Heresy: Legion, another Warhammer digital card game. As support for Horus Heresy continues, consider Warpforge the next step in that direction, taking what you learned while working on Horus and using that experience for an engaging and rich competitive card game.
