Of the five RTX 4090 graphics cards listed, three of them are under $2K (one of them just a nickel under $2K). All cards are already sold out. Several manufacturers have already revealed their RTX 4090 models, such as Zotac, Asus, Gigabyte, and Galax.

RTX 4090 is up to 4 times faster than RTX 3090 Ti, according to NVIDIA

The GeForce RTX 4090, the new high-end graphics card from NVIDIA, uses the AD102-300 GPU with 16,384 CUDA Cores, 5,632 more cores than the RTX 3090 Ti, in addition to operating at a frequency of 2,520 MHz. That means that the RTX 4090 offers 82.6 TFLOPS, more than double the performance of the RTX 3090 Ti.

The high-end Ada Lovelace GPU is equipped with 24GB of GDDR6X memory, reaching a maximum maximum bandwidth of 1TB/s. The RTX 4090 has a TDP of 450W and NVIDIA recommends an 850W power supply.

NVIDIA guarantees that the RTX 4090 is two to four times faster than the RTX 3090 Ti. The RTX 4080 has the same performance boost as the RTX 3080 Ti. Both cards require “a 450W or better PCIe Gen 5 cable,” but NVIDIA guarantees adapters for 8-pin cables in the box.

NVIDIA’s next-generation GPUs are manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm process, bringing 3rd generation RT cores and 4th generation Tensor cores, the latter responsible for processing Deep Learning Super Sample (DLSS).

One of the biggest advantages of the Ada Lovelace-based RTX 40 is DLSS 3. NVIDIA has demonstrated the feature in games running at hundreds of FPS, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Overwatch 2.
