Record sales were achieved despite numerous technical issues facing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. On social networks, fans of the popular franchise are actively sharing videos that demonstrate errors and shortcomings of varying severity.

Most likely, the plethora of bugs and performance issues influenced the final rating of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which only received 76 out of 100% on Opencritic. This is the lowest for a major release since Emerald. The game debuted on November 18 on the Nintendo Switch.
