Using a crew made up of zombie pirates and with another type of curse, the player must fight against the Inquisition commanded by the Burning Maiden. At the same time, it will be possible to use Red Marley’s special powers to Sail the oceans in search of Captain Mordechai’s legendary treasure.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew will follow the same style as previous Mimimi games, but will bring a less linear operating system. According to the developer, players will be able to navigate the game’s islands with some freedom, whose Entry and exit points may be defined before a match begins..

The developer also explained that, before starting a matchup, players will have more freedom to define the crew members that will participate in it. With that, the game will have more tactical possibilities than the studio’s previous works, which usually define well which characters will be part of each battle.
According to Mimimi, he decided to explore a less realistic setting in Shadow Gambit as way to expand game play options. The promise is that this will allow for the addition of “crazy gameplay mechanics” that wouldn’t be a good fit for Shadow Tactics or Desperados 3.
Among the changes that the game will bring is a new save and fast load system, which have now been incorporated into Red Marley’s time travel abilities. No release date yet the new game was confirmed for 2023 with versions for Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5.
