The Nitro Drifter is a new car added with Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. As the name suggests, this car is turbocharged and can drift, making it an extremely fun vehicle to play with. Using it isn’t easy though: Fortnite’s week 1 challenges basically require you to find one and use it to destroy objects.
Finding one isn’t the easiest thing in the world and requires a bit of luck, so we’ll explain where to look to get your hands on Fortnite’s Nitro Drifter.
Where to find the Nitro Drifter in Fortnite –
Basically, the closer you are to Mega City, the more places you’ll find where a Nitro Drifter can spawn. We don’t have exact statistics, but in our experience Nitro Drifters are fairly common in Mega City. However, if you don’t like city life, there are other locations where you can find one.
The circuit north of Mega City is a particularly good place to find one, as more cars appear here than at other locations. Just about anywhere cars can spawn in this southeastern biome, there’s a chance a Nitro Drifter will spawn as well. We also found one near the gas pumps in the neutral green biome in the center of the map.
Where you shouldn’t look, though, are the Fall and Winter biomes in the northern half of the map – we’ve never seen a Nitro Drifter spawn there.
How to Drift in a Nitro Drift —
In the real world, drifting is an art that requires many hours of practice to master. This is Fortnite though, so we don’t have time for that sort of thing. When you enter a Nitro Drift, you will see a number of new controls appear on the left side of the screen, including the “Drift”. You need to have enough speed, turn and hit the drift button – simple, right?
To complete the Week 1 Challenge, you must destroy 25 objects while Drifting or Turbo-Activating in a Nitro Drifter. So find a busy area with a lot to float over and complete this challenge in no time.
