A new trailer for Redfall introduces the game storythe reason why there are vampires in the city that gives its name to the game, in addition to fights against common enemies, vampires and humans, and bosses of the most varied forms.
Scientific experiments, carried out in the dark by the company Aevum HQ, caused the inhabitants of Redfall, who began to disappear without explanation, to turn into vampires, the main threats in Arkane Austin’s game. The story unfolds in the investigation of the real motives behind the experiments.
In Redfall, vampires are considered gods by the cultists, the few humans that still survive, as well as the protagonists, and they worship blood-sucking beings.
“Redfall is an open-world, single-player, cooperative first-person shooter developed by Arkane Austin, the award-winning team behind Prey and Dishonored. Continuing Arkane’s legacy of carefully crafted worlds and immersive simulations, Redfall brings the developer’s signature gameplay for this narrative-focused action shooter.”
Redfall will have cross-play between all platforms
Redfall’s gameplay focus is cooperative, and to expand the community when the game arrives in May, cross-play between PC and Xbox will be available. Players on Steam, Epic Games, Game Pass (console and PC), and Xbox Series X|S will be able to join in matches where only the host can progress the story.
Despite this, it will be possible to play Redfall completely alone, without at least the help of NPCs, as is usual in this type of game. Even playing alone, the game will require a constant internet connection, a decision that players don’t usually like.
Redfall’s full PC system requirements have yet to be released, but Arkane Austin says you’ll need one at the very least. AMD Radeon RX 580 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU, plus Intel Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, 16 GB of memory and 100 GB of available space.
Redfall arrives on May 2 for PC and Xbox Series X | S, in addition to Game Pass.
Redfall: Difficulty and enemy types will be balanced based on team size.
Those who play co-op will encounter stronger enemies more often.
