Fifth Far Cry celebrates its 5th anniversary and remains the most popular installment in the series for many. The trip to the American countryside, where a fanatical cult reigns, was a success for Ubisoft. Now we have another reason to return to it. A patch has been released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X, so the game will finally run at 60 FPS with these versions. This applies to all game modes. Of course, it will be free to game owners.
Xbox players will receive one more small gift. Far Cry 5 will work after update on Series X in native 4K resolution, then in FullHD on Series S. For PlayStation 5, the game still runs at 2880×1620 dynamic resolution.
You can have the enhanced Far Cry 5 next week. It can be tried for free on all platforms from March 23 to 27. The event is available for Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store on PC. It’s kind of weird that it leaves Steam out. In any case, you can find the full game in this store.
