Six years after its release, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has become a true Nintendo icon in the current generation of video games and a benchmark for several other titles. Also in 2017 two versions of the game were released: the Standard and the Explorer’s Edition, the latter of which contained a comprehensive guide with tips and information about the adventure, as well as a map.

Nintendo made this guide available for free on the franchise’s official website, and it shows all of its 44 pages of data and art about the game. The file is in PDF format, with all its content in high resolution for fans.
It’s worth noting that the material was produced for newcomers to the series, who may feel lost while exploring Hyrule for the first time. He briefly mentions a bit of the story and its elements, as well as giving game tips so as not to go through many difficulties during the adventure. It was in this material, for example, that the advice to defend against the Guardians first appeared, one of the main threats spread across the map.
Rare item unlocked for everyone
The material seen in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Explorer’s Edition arrived simultaneously with the Standard version in 2017, however it quickly sold out in all stores. And after that, there was only one reprint of the material, in the year 2019 and it also turned out to be a rarity among its audience. Nintendo launching free material gives hope that we will see others from now on, but so far the company has not confirmed if it will continue with this attitude for the other franchises.
Also, Big N is preparing for the release of its official sequel, called The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Scheduled to arrive on May 12, 2023 and exclusively on Nintendo Switch, it was chosen by various publications and awards as the most anticipated electronic game of the year.
