At the end of last year, Activision announced a multiplayer game from the world of Crash Bandicoot. With the new trailer, they not only revealed new information, they also immediately started pre-orders and announced the release date. Crash Team Rumble is out Coming June 20 on PS4, PS5, XO and XSX. The game will support cross-platform play. It is not yet clear whether it will come to PC in the future.

If you want to try the game in advance, you will have a chance to pre-order. Closed beta testing will take place from April 20-24.. During testing, we touch five heroes on three maps – Crash, Coco, Dingodilea, Dr. Cortex and Tawn. Each has unique abilities and traits that you must use properly while playing one of the three roles. There are Scorers, Blockers and Boosters. Just from the names you can guess what the task of each will be.

The Scorekeeper will try to collect as many Wumpa Diamonds as possible and bring them to the team base. The blocker will make the opposing team’s life more difficult. The booster’s target is jewels, so which teammates will benefit and the fruit collected will also increase the score.

Crash Team Rumble is not a full-fledged continuation of the series. This is indicated by $30 price tag. For an additional $10, you can also get the Deluxe Edition, which includes a 2-season battle pass and exclusive cosmetic accessories. So it’s clear that Activision wants to rely on adding content over the long term. We’re just a little worried about whether Crash can handle the players in this form for long.
