On the occasion of the PlayStation Showcase, Ubisoft has revealed the release date and new gameplay details for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The game, the next chapter in the Assassin saga, was presented in 2022 and will end a three-year wait from the release of the previous installment – a more unique than rare case for the French publisher’s franchise, to which he is used to annual launches. Partly because of this, the expectations are towards Mirage, which is presented as a return to the origins in terms of gameplay.

The new trailer shows how Basim, led by his fellow Hidden Ones, uses tools and abilities to hunt down and eliminate his targets. The new trailer also focuses on the vibrant city of Baghdad, whose density and verticality provide players with plenty of opportunities to utilize Basim’s parkour skills and get close to targets quickly.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the setting —
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is in the works at Ubisoft Bordeaux, the studio behind the Wrath of the Druids expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla; “It’s a tribute to the series and a particularly special tribute to the first Assassin’s Creed,” explains Ubisoft, and is set “in a magnificent 9th century Baghdad at the height of its Golden Age.” “At this pivotal moment in history, players become Basim Ibn Is’haq, a young thief with a mysterious past who joins the Hidden of Alamut in search of answers.”
Pre-Orders and Bonus Missions —
Starting today, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and Amazon Luna, as well as on Windows PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store. Players can also sign up for Ubisoft+ to access the game at launch. Pre-orders are available for the standard edition of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, as well as the Deluxe Edition and Collector’s Case: fans who pre-order Assassin’s Creed Mirage will receive an exclusive bonus mission at launch called The Forty Thieves, in which players will discover the mysteries of discover the legendary cave of Ali Baba.
