The climbing gear in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a surefire way to make your life easier in the game. Wearing any part of the set will increase your rate of climb, with all three parts giving you a huge speed boost.
This means you can climb higher surfaces with less power – although this won’t help you unlock the Master Sword – and generally increases the range of areas you can explore. It’s an armor you might want to find at first to make it easier for you to explore, so in this guide we’ll explain where to find the climbing outfit.

Climbing bandana | Zelda Tears of the Kingdom —
The bandana can be found in a cave half way between two cliffs east of Zora Village. This cave is quite slippery with icy and wet walls, so you’ll need some elixir to increase resistance to slippery surfaces or similar armor. Climb to the top to find the bandana.
Climbing Equipment —
The Climbing Gear hub can be found by following one of the X’s on the map near the China Sahasrah Tower. It is located just to the left of Carok Bridge, after the water coming out of Guard Keep, below North Hyrule Plain Cave. Fight your way through the obstacles leading to the entrance of the cave and take out the two enemies you find there. After that, go uphill until you find a waterfall, enter it and you will see the climbing estate waiting for you there.
Climbing shoes —
Like the bandana, the boots can be found near Zora Village, this time in a cave to the southwest. On entering the cave follow the path to the right and you will find a room with some ruins in it. Lift the gate at the end of the room to drain the water, then enter the room on the right where you’ll find the boots.
