First they announced the release date. Alone in the Dark will go on sale October 25 this year for PC (Steam, GOG), PS5, Xbox Series X, and S for $50. Pre-orders are already open on consoles, but the option has yet to hit PC not reached.
Second, the developers announced the release on all target platforms of Alone in the Dark: Prologue, a free, spoiler-free prologue to the main game. The demo version is also available on Russian Steam.

The new Alone in the Dark is a new version of the original trilogy. The events of the game take place in the 20s of the last century and it will be possible to reveal the secrets of the Derceto estate to Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood.
It turned out that the voice and appearance of Carnby will be given by the star of the TV series “Very Strange Things” and the movie Gran Turismo David Harbor (David Harbor), and Hartwood will play Jodie Comer (Jodie Comer), known for her roles in “Killing Eve” and “Protagonist”.
The duration of the presentation was 11 minutes (attached above). They showed footage of the game interspersed with developer and actor monologues. The video was aired by the creator of the original Alone in the Dark, Frederick Raynal.
The reboot promises a return to the roots of the series, a story with elements of Lovecraftian horror, differences in the plot when playing for each protagonist, a mesmerizing soundtrack and a text translation in Russian.
