The recent revelations from an insider under the pseudonym The Snitch have been confirmed: the next PlayStation exclusive will indeed be released on PC in July, but not Ghost of Tsushima or Horizon Forbidden West, as fans had hoped.
As it became known, already on July 26 of this year, the adventure action platformer Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart from the studio Insomniac Games loses the status of a PlayStation 5 exclusive. The Nixxes Software team will assist with the migration.
The pages on Steam and the Epic Games Store are already active, but only the first one is opened from the Russian account. However, soon the game in the Russian segment will no longer be available – the start of pre-orders is expected in the very near future.
The PC version of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart gains support for ray tracing (reflections, shadows), ultra-wide monitors (21:9, 32:9, 48:9) in gameplay and cutscenes, NVIDIA DLAA anti-aliasing technology, and intelligent scaling (DLSS 3, FSR 2, XeSS).
Among other things, they promise easy operation with mouse and keyboard, as well as support for gamepads, including DualSense (tactile feedback is explained when connected via cable). Additional details will be shared closer to release.
The authors assure that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is ideal for newcomers to the franchise (the games in the series have not yet been released on PC) thanks to an independent plot and acquaintance with two new characters – the Lombax girl Rivet and the robot Kit.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was released on PS5 in June 2021. The main feature of the adventure is parallel dimensions, between which you can move almost instantly thanks to the fast SSD of the console.
