Times between console and PC can vary significantly depending on the region you’re in, but this means console players can implement a quick trick to get access to the new content as quickly as possible.

Unlock Time on PS5 and Xbox Series
The console unlock times are slightly different as Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 DLC is coming soon midnight local time on September 26. However, it is possible to play earlier if you know how to use the “New Zealand trick”.
How to use the New Zealand trick to play early –
The New Zealand trick is to change the region of your console so you can access games earlier that rely on launching at “local time”. Since New Zealand’s time zone is the most advanced, this is the time zone you want to select.
Xbox series
On Xbox, go to Settings > System > Time and you can change the time zone to UTC+12 Auckland, Wellington and then restart the console.
PS5
For PlayStation consoles, things are a little more complicated: you’ll need to create a separate PlayStation account on your console and pre-order the game there instead of through your main account. Follow the normal account setup process (you’ll also need a second email address), but make sure you choose “New Zealand” when selecting your region.
