In an interview with GTPlanet, Kazunori Yamauchi, director of the studio, revealed that this is a topic that is in Polyphony’s plans. He stated that one of the main reasons why Gran Turismo is only in the catalog of Sony consoles is due to the high graphic demand. it has to be able to function at full power.

“Yeah, I think so. Gran Turismo is a very well designed title. There aren’t many platforms that can run the game at 4K/60p natively, so one way to make it possible is to restrict the platforms. It’s not a very easy topic. , but of course we are analyzing and considering it,” revealed Kazunori Yamauchi.

Leaks raise player expectations

The move makes a lot of sense, especially when you take into account the measures taken by Sony in recent months regarding various PlayStation titles. That’s because the company brought some games known for its success on PlayStation to the computer. Examples include Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Uncharted 4.

Recently, Gran Turismo 7 appeared on NVIDIA’s PC game leak list. In this way, it is not difficult to speculate that the Polyphony title will come out for PC even with all the caveats presented by the studio director. Unfortunately, there’s still no release date or window for this to happen.

Released in March this year, Gran Turismo 7 has received a number of updates in recent months. Concerned about the game content, Polyphony made updates for three consecutive months adding new cars to one of the leading simulators present in the gaming industry today. This week, a new patch launched the unprecedented feature of being able to sell cars that are in the garage.
