Twinsen’s Adventure and Twinsen’s Odyssey Remastered for PC and Consoles

The study [2.21] brings these classic games to life and Upcoming Steam Festival, which will take place from June 19 to 26, 2023, players will be able to experience a demo of the remastered version of Twinsen’s Adventure. Both games will be released in 2024 on PC and consoles to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first game. In addition to the two remastered versions of the original games in the series, a reboot will be released that was initially announced for 2024, but will be delayed and tentatively named. Twinsen’s Adventure and Twinsen’s Odyssey: 90’s Classics

Both titles, Twinsen’s Adventure and Twinsen’s Odyssey, were classic games from the 1990s. The games were initially developed by Adeline Software International and published by electronic arts (Europe) and activityvision. The first game was released in 1994, followed by the second in 1997. Players follow Twinsen, an ordinary citizen living under the dictatorship of Dr. Funfrock in the first game, to save the planet’s inhabitants from him. In Brazil, the game was distributed for free by CD Expert magazine and created a very strong community, still active today.

The project’s art director is Brazilian Paulo Torinno, an artist from Salvador who created a Twinsen’s Adventure fanart that impressed the developers and was called upon to join the team.

Building on their initial success, both games were extremely well received by critics and gamers in the US, UK, Germany, and Brazil. Worldwide sales are estimated at 500,000 copies of the first game and 800,000 copies of the second. These two amazing games were re-released on Steam in 2012 with 200,000 digital copies sold.

A complete remastering

In these remastered versions of the Twinsen’s Odyssey games, players will be able to relive Twinsen’s adventures and travel from island to island, enjoying various enhancements such as:

• A full technical and graphical review: each game will benefit from a technical and graphical review with the unreal engine 5 from the epic games and was rebuilt from scratch. They’ll enjoy improved animations, better camera tracking, and high visual resolution to make Planet Twinsun worthy of a new generation. • Updated Music – Thanks to the amazing work of composer Philippe Vachey, the game’s original soundtrack became an instant classic. 30 years later, it’s time to re-enchant the game with remastered versions of the soundtracks from both games.
