In the same week that Microsoft revealed that Xbox and the company’s gaming sector had a considerable drop last year, the North American company revealed numbers that show that all is far from lost. In December of last year, the company managed to break the record of monthly users.

Data presented by Video Games Chronicle last week showed that the company managed to register 120 million active users in a single month. The figure is the highest ever recorded in the entire history of Microsoft, and was celebrated with great euphoria by the company that had just presented less than optimistic earnings figures.

“In the world of gaming, we continue to pursue our ambition to give our players more choice so they can play what they want, when they want, where they want and how they want,” the company said. Microsoft also revealed that Xbox Games Pass has managed to reach “new heights” in recent months.

Microsoft cites record numbers on Game Pass

Microsoft’s success in the world of video games is not limited to the number of active users per month on Xbox. The company revealed other numbers regarding the players. This is because they also presented other important information about users, such as Game Pass subscription registration and game streaming hours.

“We continue to invest to add value to Game Pass. This quarter, we partnered with Riot Games to make the company’s PC and mobile games available to subscribers alongside premium content. And finally, we’re excited about our next line of AAA releases.” Microsoft said.

Regarding the alliance signed with Riot Games, Microsoft offers a series of advantages for players who enjoy some of the company’s titles. That way, you can get a lot of different rewards in games like League of Legends, Valorant, Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and more if you start the game through Game Pass.
