A few months after the release of Need for Speed Unbound, part of the team that worked on it no longer part of Electronic Arts. This Thursday (16), the creation of the fuse setswhich will have as some of its first members developers who collaborated in the creation of the Criterion studio.
Fuse Games will be led by Matt Webster, former boss of Criterion, who will be joined by four other co-founders of the company specialized in racing games. In addition to collaborating on games like Need for Speed and Burnout, Webbter and his team also worked supporting Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefield 2042.
Until now, the new developer revealed that its team consists of Steve Upil, head of content, and Pete Lake, head of production. It also features Chief Operating Officer Alan McDaimant and Andrei Shires, who will take over as Chief Technology Officer.
Fuse Games is already working on a Triple A game
Fuse Games revealed that it was born with a strong external investment, which will allow it to quickly grow beyond the 17 employees that have been hired so far.
