Gotham Knights and Back 4 Blood Sold As Expected by Warner Bros. Games

When we talk about the publisher Warner Bros. Games, its biggest success at the moment is Hogwarts Legacy, without a doubt. But, according to the LinkedIn profile of Edgar Gamez, the company’s brand manager, sales for Gotham Knights and Back 4 Blood seem to have met the studio’s expectations.

He is responsible for the marketing of some of Warner Bros. Games’ games. In addition to the two mentioned, Edgar also works on the Suicide Squad game and “unannounced titles”. The addition of Back 4 Blood to Game Pass was also handled by him.

Regarding sales of Gotham Knights and Back 4 Blood, Edgar Gamez says the games ranked in the top 20 games of the year (although he didn’t specify which ones) as measured by revenue generated and the WB’s sales target.

When measuring the game’s performance on Steam, Back 4 Blood has a 66% approval rating from over 35,000 reviews and peaked at 65,987 players at launch. In December of last year, the game received its third expansion “River of Blood”.

Gotham Knights already managed to do even worse among critics and gamers. Warner Bros. Montreal earned a 64 (Xbox Series), 66 (PC), and 68 (PS5), and scores between 3.4 and 4.9 by gamers on Metacritic.

On Steam, Gotham Knights was approved by 69% of players with around 10,000 reviews. The game arrived in October of last year, gathering 24,000 players upon its launch. The game not only disappointed, but also arrived in a difficult state of optimization, something that was corrected over the months.
